Lionel trains. Our objectives when authorizing new Lionel dealers
is to ensure that Lionel train products be presented to consumers
in an environment of quality and service.
Please review the following key points, which are requirements for
all new Lionel Authorized Value Added Dealers: 
- You must operate a retail store. The retail store cannot be located
in your home, in a building attached to your home, in any building
on residential property or in a residential area.
- Your business telephone number must be listed in the Hobbies
section of your local Yellow Page directory.
- Your business must be open during normal retail business hours,
at least forty hours per week.
- You must maintain a Lionel 0/027 gauge train layout in your retail
store.
- You will be required to merchandise Lionel train products in
a manner that will enhance their attractiveness and desirability
to customers.
- You must operate a clean, safe and attractive place of business.
- You will sell only to consumers who are not purchasing for resale
or to other Lionel Authorized Value Added Dealers.
- You will not sell or promote new Lionel train products at train
meets, swap meets or flea markets. Only Starter Products can be
sold at Lionel approved consumer events.
- Lionel will determine if the demographics of your location is
capable of supporting an additional Lionel dealer.
