Lionel, with guidance from the Children's Advertising Review Unit,
has established the following Privacy Policy to inform its Web
site visitors about the type of information we solicit, and what
we do with this information.
The
Collection and Use of Lionel Customer Information
Lionel only collects personal identifiable data, such as names,
addresses, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted
by
a visitor in our Gift Registry, Lionel Store, Giveaways, Warranty
Registration, Talk To Us, From You, Lionel Railroader Club, Send
Us a Letter, and Tech Support sections. We advise minors
to get parental permission before filling out any online forms.
This information will be used in order to provide an enhanced,
customized user experience.

When you order from our Lionel Store, we need to know your name,
email address, credit card number, and expiration date. This
allows us to process and fulfill your order.

When you enter a contest or other promotional feature under
Giveaways, we may ask for your name, address, and email address
so we can administer the contest and notify winners.

Some customer surveys, such as in Warranty Registration, are
used to gauge interest in different product offerings. Responses
are tabulated in an idea database, which may be used in new
product development.

Applications are available online for the Lionel Railroader
Club. Personal information gathered is for
the club registration and internal marketing purposes only.
Applications may be printed off-line and sent to Lionel
with
payment to join the Lionel Railroader Club.

Under Talk To Us and From You, Lionel sometimes solicits drawings,
pictures and sketches from children. Accepted pictures will
be posted on the site with the child's first name, last initial
and home state. Lionel urges children to ask their parents for
permission before sending these items, and release forms are
sent to verify authorized usage.

In our Tech Support section we may also ask for your name and
email address for future reference.

In some instances, when an email address has been provided by
the visitor and the visitor is 18 or older and has indicated
that he/she would like to receive communications from us, we
will send notices to visitors, usually in the form of an email.
These notices, sent periodically, will announce Web site upgrades,
new product information and other similar updates.

Protection of Customer Information
When you place orders or access your account information, we offer
the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts
all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore,
all of the customer data we collect is protected against unauthorized
access.

Does Not Disclose Customer Information
Lionel may choose to sell, trade, or rent your personal information
to other trustworthy third parties, but you can tell us not to
by sending a blank email message to never@lionel.com.

Lionel provides links to other areas of interest and relevance
on its site. While Lionel does its best to ensure that the linked
sites uphold the integrity and fairness to children that it strives
for, we do recommend that children check with their parents before
