HISTORIC LAYOUT SERIES
---We are proud and excited to announce the beginning of a new series of accessory products called the Historic Layout Series. Working in conjunction with the owners of the country’s most recognized and beloved train layout attractions, we will be replicating fun, whimsical and prototypical accessories from their layouts. Often hand-built, and typically one of a kind, these accessories will now be able to become part of your very own collection.
---The first offerings in this series can be found on the famous Miniature Railroad & Village™ layout of the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded Christmas Eve, 1920, by Pennsylvania native Charles Bowdish, this Lionel-only layout has become one of the biggest, most-visited layout attractions in the country. What’s more, Lionel has had a relationship of support with the layout for more than 50 years. We are pleased to team up with the Miniature Railroad & Village to kick off this new series. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each of the four products on this page will be donated to the Miniature Railroad & Village to support ongoing operations.

---These realistic animations are just some of the more than one hundred original mechanized details waiting to be discovered on Carnegie Science Center’s Miniature Railroad & Village, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
